Brian Walsh, our photographer for the Micksgarage Irish Touring Car Championship recently took a trip across the pond to check out the launch of the 2015 British Touring Car Championship. Putting a focus on MicksGarage supported driver Aron Smith and the Team BMR Passats, Brian came back with some fantastic photo’s as usual, taken in his own unmistakable style. Rounds 1,2 & 3 kick off next weekend at Brands Hatch where all eyes will be on the VW’s, particularly those of former 5th Gear presenter Jason Plato & reigning BTCC champion Colin Turkington. Aron is going to have his work cut out to beat his two team mates who finished first & second in the championship last year but has the benefit of an extra year with team BMR and an extra year behind the wheel of the Passat cc. That said, after an extensive winter testing program you can be sure the hugely experienced pairing of Turkington & Plato will be fully up to speed for the first race.
